We discuss at length how Yelp marketing for businesses and whether or not it's a good deal. We also talk about Douglas' rant on the passing of the Internet Sales tax by the Senate. We list 26 SEO Tools for Keyword Research, Ranking and Optimization. We talk through Doug's recent Pizza Hut fail on Twitter when their iPhone app didn't work (and really doesn't seem to work for too many others, either). We discuss enhancing your WordPress blog with Pippity, a WordPress Popup Plugin. It's a paid plugin that has several themes to design div overlays that entice your readers to subscribe, download, register or take some other action. Also discussed is a unique test result where we found Google utilizing text off of a different site to describe another. This is quite unique... we've never seen Google take other descriptions and apply them before. We also discuss popular searches like "alternatives". Search users are often looking for alternatives to products, businesses or services... are you taking advantage of those services? Have you checked out UpCity? A really clean DIY (Do It Yourself) tool for monitoring your small business on search engines and social media. It's a low cost solution that any small business can afford! And more!

This week on the Marketing Technology Blog, we discuss lost opportunities when writing your content, utilizing active commands rather than a passive tone. And we discuss SEO and why you should listen to Google rather than evaluating the work that needs accomplished to accommodate their advice. Don't miss it - and be sure to download our new Android App!
